January 3rd: The Squire

Hi Squire Here!

What Happened For Me Yesterday!

A disappointing day with just under 10% loss on capital. I would always stop betting around that 10% debit mark but in the event, it was actually the last race of my roster.

No real harm was done, just one or two good winners will get me back on track.

The Mighty Tosh made £998 from a bet on New Year’s day in only the 3rd race, and I also love a long odds shot.

Out of interest given my start date, average growth rate and number of betting days in this period so far, I am on target to reach £30K before the end of February!

Not bad from a £500 start only a few weeks ago.

  • Original Start Bank: £500
  • Yesterdays Bank: £5279.43
  • Today’s Bank: £4857.31
  • Profit Yesterday: £-422.22
  • New Point Value: £48.57
  • Target Today: £121.53

What are my aims?

Well my task is turn £1,000 into £20,000 betting capital and at my present average rate of growth (about 3.5% per day)

I should hit the target well before the 2019 Flat season starts next March!

However, my daily is the same as the other chaps at 2.5%

Patience is always key. Keep your eye on the target destination, not the potholes in the road!

Today:

I have gone to HRP Top Rated with a minimum score of 40 and a minimum Odds Movement of 10!

Bet Roster Instructions

Back the named selection to win in each race unless you can get around 1.9 for the Place price, then you would Split Stake the selection.

We are using the HRP Platinum Staking Plan to be found in the Method Maker main instructions post.

Stop at a predetermined profit target.

Recovery

Speaking to the very clever people who developed this staking system, I now know we have two options in any recovery plan:

  1. Keep the point value at it’s previous high point, until the debit is recovered
  2. Simply absorb the loss and reduce the point value, from the new bank figure

I do wish that I had discovered this method of betting and staking 30 years ago!

Very safe, very sure, very sensible, very good indeed. In racing you see, it’s not a question of ‘can I win all the time?’ as you can’t – otherwise there would be no betting markets!

It is a question of ‘can you organise your staking to odds and deliver a consistent profit’?
