I’ve done it to start at 100 point bank so the +53.48 points profit (or +53.48%) will get added to the 100 bank to make a new bank of 153.48 for May.

P.S. My bank started at £1,000

Hello LK,
So the fav placer was started at £10 per point? And assuming this is correct then May will start at £15.35 ?
If you are starting with £1000 bank (like I did) then yes as your aim is 1% of your bank at the start of each day.
Your stake for the first bet would be £15.34 and you would stop when you made £ 30.68 profit (add that profit to your bank and start again the next day).
Even if you started with £100 bank with the power of compounding this can increase a lot over 12 months
e.g.
% increase P/L 100 Start Bank
Month 1 100.00 50.00% 50.00 150.00
Month 2 150.00 50.00% 75.00 225.00
Month 3 225.00 50.00% 112.50 337.50
Month 4 337.50 50.00% 168.75 506.25
Month 5 506.25 50.00% 253.13 759.38
Month 6 759.38 50.00% 379.69 1139.06
Month 7 1139.06 50.00% 569.53 1708.59
Month 8 1708.59 50.00% 854.30 2562.89
Month 9 2562.89 50.00% 1281.45 3844.34
Month 10 3844.34 50.00% 1922.17 5766.50
Month 11 5766.50 50.00% 2883.25 8649.76
Month 12 8649.76 50.00% 4324.88 12974.63 New Bank
The trouble is most people want money quickly and are not prepared to give time and effort to something that will pay off in the future as they want it straight away.
Morning K
Quad 2 last night 4 May , we got to leg 3 10.27 Fonner park, we had 2 selections, which I had in the Bot but it only backed the Fav @ 2.2 odds, the 2nd Fav was about 4.28 (cant be exact not at the pc when bet was placed) but I think the Dutch would have been around 1.44?, any idea why it didn’t place a bet on the 2 selections?, also as a matter of interest what happens when we have 2,3 selections and the Dutch falls under the 1.4 combined odds we have in the bot.
thanks
Gary
If the dutch odds falls below 1.4 it should just place a win bet on the lowest odds horse.
I think this is what happened to your bot the price was hovering about 1.4 (I got 1.42) if you bot looked and the odds were 1.4 or over it place the dutch but I suspect it might have dipped under 1.4 at that precise moment so it placed a win bet (I think you still should have won though).
Thanks for the swift reply.
Out of interest , have you have calculated what would have happened on Fav Placer if you carried on each day to the conclusion of all your selections rather than stop at ‘Job Done’?
I did yes and I would had hit my stop/loss (set at 35% of the bank) lots more times. In the last 12 months (before the lockdown) by doing all the bets the bank would have been wiped out after bet 163 (and it would have been wiped out many times) BUT by stopping at 2% I hit my stop/loss 8 times but could still carry on because of monies won and a total of +614% was won over the whole year.
Hi K
Yes mate, still won no problem, and thanks for clearing up what happens if the dutch is below 1.4, that makes sense
Thanks top man
I noticed that your stats for April were 1.9% average profit per day and currently running at 2.32% average since 3 April. Do you think it would be a greater risk/ conversely more profitable if instead you aimed at 2% of bank per day? Looking at my strategy for starting a long project with HRP in the near future.
Because I’m also doing Australian racing as well as the USA this month so far the first 4 days has seen the average per day as +7.48%, and while I haven’t had a debit day yet I expect it to be about +5% by the end of the month which I’m more than happy with.
A very important lesson learnt there… re: stopping at job done
